Why Eco Spa?
If you are looking for a smaller hot tub, a 2-person hot tub, or a quality 110v hot tub, consider an Eco Spa.
What Makes Eco Spas Different
Since 2006, Eco Spas have been engineered to eliminate the problems other hot tubs often have. Eco Spas are designed and built here in the USA, with almost all internal components sourced from North American companies. There are no proprietary components in an Eco Spa. Why buy an Eco Spa over any other brand? Read on to find out.
ContactThe Eco Spa Difference
The Eco Spa differences are many. The information boxes below highlight some of the major ones.
Plug & Play
Eco Spas are not your typical “plug & play” hot tubs. An Eco Spa has a dedicated 1600 watt heater when plugged into a wall outlet. (Optionally, all Eco Spas can be converted to and hard- wired for 220v which increases the heater to a 4000 watt output.) That means that not only do Eco Spas heat faster, but they maintain heat better and are more efficient. Other so-called plug & play hot tubs are a compromise so they can be offered at a lower price point. Other plug and play hot tubs do not have a dedicated heater, instead, they use the heat generated by the pump while it’s running. This means it can take a lot of time and money to heat to a therapeutic temperature, cost exponentially more to operate, and may have trouble maintaining temperature. Therefore, Eco Spas aren’t your average plug and play hot tub. See the Cover and Insulation info box.
Serviceability
Every Eco Spa has access panels on all 4 sides of the spa and removable Eco-Batt insulation which means Eco Spas are extremely easy to service. Every jet and every component inside your Eco Spa can be accessed if necessary because the insulation is all removable. When the job is done, the insulation is simply put back in, and your hot tub is just like it was the day it was delivered. No more digging through sprayed-in foam insulation to inspect or service your hot tub. The access panels are attached with 16 screws so pests (mice, rats & yellow jackets) can’t get inside an Eco Spa and cause damage and headaches.
Warranty
Eco Spas probably have the best, least exclusionary warranty in the industry. Both the patented Eco Spa hard cover and the unibody structure have a lifetime warranty. That means we guarantee that you will never need to replace your cover and you will never have to worry about the structure of the spa cracking nor deteriorating. Everything inside the hot tub - the pump, electrical components, the plumbing, jets, etc. - have a two-year, non-prorated warranty. That means 100% coverage of parts and labor for the first two years. If you ever have a question about your Eco Spa your dealer is just a phone call away.
Design/Structure
Nothing about an Eco Spa is an accident; Eco Spas are designed and engineered from the ground up to be easy and give you years of worry-free enjoyment with very low maintenance. The structure and hard cover are rotationally molded, which means they are one solid piece of very thick high-density polyethylene with no seams or gaps for rodents or other critters to get inside. Both the structure and cover won’t split, crack or delaminate and will stand up to even the harshest climates. The floor is double layered with a dead air pocket for insulation and strength. All Eco Spas have two 4-inch suction intakes which allow the pump to run stronger, quieter, more efficiently, and last longer. The attached patented hard cover has been designed to be effortless to open and close and is strong enough to stand on. Eco Spas have an external drain valve with a hose attachment which is easily accessed. All the jets are recessed for your comfort.
Power Requirements
Any Eco Spa can be plugged into a standard 110v outlet, or it can be hard-wired to a 220v power supply, depending on what you have available. The advantage of plugging your Eco Spa into an outlet is that you don’t have to pay an electrician to bring 220v to your hot tub. The built-in GFCI plug will work with any standard 15 amp outlet. The advantage of hard wiring your Eco Spa to 220v is that the heater becomes more than twice as powerful. A more powerful heater will heat the water faster, but also, supplying 220v power will allow the heater to turn on whether the pump is at high or low speeds. When hard wiring your Eco Spa you will need a dedicated 50 amp GFCI breaker. Contact your dealer for specific 220v specs and conversion instructions.
Cover and Insulation
The efficiency of a hot tub is defined by how well the hot tub retains heat. Unlike most plug & play hot tubs, and most hot tubs in general, Eco Spas are thoroughly insulated from the cover to the floor. The unibody structure is designed with two layers of high density polyethylene across the bottom which creates a dead air space of insulation similar to that of a dual pane window, and is effectively 1 inch thick. All plumbing inside an Eco Spa is elevated on insulating blocks to ensure that your plumbing isn’t making contact with the ground to ensure that the heat stays in. The entire cabinet inside an Eco Spa is crammed full of a mold and mildew resistant, R-30 rated, Eco-Batt removable insulation. The patented attached hard cover which is 25% more efficient than a standard hot tub cover, is molded with two layers, one of high density polyethylene for durability and one of foamed polyethylene for added insulation. The entirety of the cover is stuffed completely with fiber fill insulation contained with a friction welded seal to ensure the Eco Spa hard cover will never need to be replaced.
Dual Filters
All Eco Spas are equipped with 2 easy-to-access 40 square foot filters hidden behind a handy table for your refreshments. Adequate filtration is very important, it keeps the water fresh and clear and therefore requires less maintenance than spas with single filters. Most other spas neglect the fact that smaller spas have a higher body to water ratio which means they need more filtration to keep the water clean. This is why many hot tubs often require additional maintenance and frequent water changes. Eco Spas dual filtration ensures that you will have crystal clean, low maintenance water without the added hassles.
Power Seals and Gaskets
Two other Eco Spa innovations are the cover gaskets and the power seal technology. Eco Spa hard covers are equipped with a thick rubber gasket that runs around the entire perimeter of the cover and where the two halves of the cover interlock in the center. The gaskets ensure contact between the cover and the hot tub, as well as between the two halves of the cover. To optimize that contact for maximum insulation, the power seal clamps are designed to press those gaskets tight to the edge of the spa to seal in as much heat as possible. One reason Eco Spas are chosen by customers who live in cold weather areas or windy/dusty places is these two features are not only effective at keeping heat in, but also keeping debris and dust out. You can be sure that your Eco Spa hard cover will trap more heat than any vinyl cover and will never blow away!
Water Care
Eco Spa water care is meant to be easy and stress-free. Most customers spend less than 10 minutes per week on water care maintenance. This is because the Eco Spa Hard Cover, built-in 80 square foot filtration system and an add-on ozone generator will be doing most the work for you. All you have to do is rinse and clean the filters monthly, add water care products as needed, and replace the water once or twice per year. We believe that your hot tub should be a source of therapy, relaxation and/or entertainment, NEVER a chore. We are always available to answer questions and offer lifetime customer service support to ensure that caring for your spa is as easy as enjoying it!
